Discovered by Financial Police of Barletta un illegal broadcasting center for Sky channels located in Canosa di Puglia.
The administrator of this illegal center has been charged at large and faces a possible prison sentence of up to three years. The charge concerns violation of copyright laws, the penalties for which were recently strengthened by Law 93/2023, which more severely punishes those who illegally consume illicitly broadcast content.
Through the analysis of the seized materials, as reported in a press release, it will be possible to identify end users and evaluate whether to take any legal action against them. Users may be subject to fines up to a maximum amount of 5.000 euro.
The Guardia di Finanza emphasizes that the criminal proceedings are still in the preliminary investigation phase, and the suspect's liability will be definitively confirmed only in the event of a final conviction.
