Discovered by Financial Police of Barletta un illegal channel broadcasting center Sky located in Canosa di Puglia.
The administrator of this illegal center has been reported at large and faces a possible prison sentence of up to 3 years. The charge concerns the violation of copyright laws, the sanctions for which have recently been aggravated by Law 93/2023, punishing more severely those who illegally use content transmitted in an illicit manner.
Through the analysis of the seized materials, as reported in a press release, it will be possible to identify end users and evaluate whether to take any legal action against them. Users may be subject to fines up to a maximum amount of 5.000 euro.
The Guardia di Finanza emphasizes that the criminal proceedings are still in the preliminary investigation phase, and the responsibility of the suspect will be definitively confirmed only in the event of an irrevocable sentence of conviction.
