Once again the Camorra is juxtaposing the sacred with the profane: a votive chapel was also seized today, during the vast operation by the Carabinieri, Police and Guardia di Finanza in the Ponticelli district of Napoli where the police reported 31 arrests. The chapel, seized following a report by the military, had a painting and a statuette both depicting a Madonna with baby Jesus and angels and inside were also placed the images of some alleged murdered affiliates.

Among the photos you can also find that of 26 year old Vincenzo Costanzo, considered a leading figure in the Camorra Ponticelli (for the DDA he was the regent of the D'Amico clan) killed in an ambush that took place during the championship celebrations of Napoli. Also found were the images of the brother of the wife of the boss Antonio D'Amico, of the mother of Costanzo and of other alleged affiliates killed in various raids. Among the images present were also those of two young people unrelated to criminal logic, also deceased. The chapel was demolished and the photos returned to their owners.
