The church of San Diego all'Ospedaletto, also known as San Giuseppe Maggiore, located on Via Medina in Naples, is reportedly in danger. Journalist Giovanni Cosenza raised the alarm on Facebook:
The church of San Giuseppe in San Diego all'Ospedaletto on Via Medina in Naples could collapse any day.
A 17th-century jewel could be lost due to the negligence of the Municipality of Naples, which owns the monument. Every two or three months, after the usual certified email to the municipality, teams of "great experts" arrive to let you see firsthand the beginning of the work.
But then, after a few days, they all disappear, leaving the church to its inexorable, now sealed fate.

We no longer need words, but serious people who take action, not unusual snake oil salesmen or windbags or "quaquaraquàs" that we are tired of."
“We asked the technical offices of the Municipality to be updated on the issue, to know the planned interventions and the timetable. “- declares the deputy of the Green-Left alliance Francesco Emilio Borrelli –“We have sent a note to urge the restoration work and to be informed step by step about the interventions.
Why must we reach a critical level before we decide to take action? Why are we letting our historical and artistic heritage literally fall to pieces?
Naples is collapsing, day after day, and we are trying with “makeshift props”, prayers and a bit of good luck to keep it standing, a bit like the buildings after the 80 earthquake. Today, as should have been done then, we must stop relying on improvisation and luck. We must take serious action. We need a plan to safeguard our monuments and historic buildings.”
