On October 7, the Municipality of Naples, with the councilor Gennaro Demetrio Paipais, the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, with the deputy legislative head Elvira Raviele and the delegation of Italian Heritage, with Luigi Liberti and exponents of Neapolitan entrepreneurship and culture, joined the celebrations of the Fiao (Organization of Italian-American Federations) by participating in a meeting with the representatives of the Municipality of New York and Italian-American associations in the area.
On October 9, the Neapolitan delegation participated in the Columbus parade, which opened with a mass at St. Patrick Cathedral and a meeting with Cardinal Timothy Dolan and New York State Governor Kathy Hochul. Also present at Columbus Day was the Minister of Culture Gennaro Sangiuliano, who received the Caruso 150 award for the occasion.
