A free-admission festival traveling through the provinces of Benevento and Salerno, from October 11th to December 28th: the initiative will also be available for teacher training and as a PCTO program for students.
The latest initiative by the Cultural Association L'Alveare ETS will debut on October 11th: “Res Cogitans – dialogue between Art, Philosophy and Science”.
This first edition is dedicated to the French thinker Blaise Pascal—philosopher, physicist, computer scientist ante litteram, engineer, mathematician, and theologian—on the 400th anniversary of his birth.
"Res Cogitans" aims to be a crossroads between fields of human thought, a moment of encounter and dialogue, an opportunity for multidisciplinary inquiry. The event should be conceived without the ideological barriers that often exist between humanistic, scientific, and artistic cultures. The goal is to propose an interpretation that can be consistently varied across these fields of knowledge.
HOST MUNICIPALITIES
The festival, which aims to be a tool for cross-cultural dissemination that develops in a series of itinerant meetings, will take place between the provinces of Benevento and Salerno from 11 October to 28 December, involving seven different municipalities.
The event will be divided into eight meetings and will “visit” seven municipalities between the two provinces: Telese Terme (October 11), Salerno (October 17), Benevento (October 26), Padula (November 14), Pietrelcina (November 29), University of Sannio (December 6), Capaccio Paestum (December 12) and Aquara (December 28). All the municipalities have granted patronage.
AN OPPORTUNITY FOR TEACHERS AND STUDENTS
For teachers of all levels and for secondary school students, this event can be considered respectively as a refresher course (25 hours) - SOFIA platform, code 87854 - and as a PCTO course (25 basic hours plus any additional hours).
