Nestlé Group continues its commitment to supporting sustainable agricultural practices and technological transition in the supply chain.
Nestlé is a partner of the new Master's Degree in “Sustainable Food Systems” at the University of Naples “Federico II”, which will start on October 9th.
The two-year course, held in English, is the first in Italy to train future sustainability managers in the agri-food industry, figures increasingly sought after by the world of work and appreciated by companies in the sector.
The educational path will focus in particular on topics such as environmental sustainability, recycling processes and agritech, addressed with both a theoretical and practical approach, with the aim of encouraging students to develop innovative solutions to address the challenges of the present and future related to food production and consumption.
The study plan includes an internship at Nestlé and other partner companies to apply the concepts learned in the classroom “in the field”, working on projects related to the sustainability of food production under the guidance of company tutors.
Nestlé's support for the Degree Course in "Sustainable Food Systems" responds to the Group's commitment on two different fronts: offering job and training opportunities to young talents through the global project Nestlé Needs YOUth, which has the ambitious goal of giving access to economic opportunities to 10 million boys and girls around the world by 2030, and working towards increasing business sustainability.
Nestlé has always collaborated with start-ups, universities, research centers in our country, in the belief that the exchange of ideas, skills and solutions with external entities contributes to accelerating the development of new technologies and enriching the Group's growth strategies.
From this perspective, Nestlé welcomes and supports the talents of the new generations interested in the world of agritech, a crucial area for companies operating in the agri-food sector.
