Eliminate 13 environmental discharges, collect the waste water of 19000 inhabitants and convey the sewage into the district collector system, eliminating free discharge into the environment and carrying out an important environmental remediation action: these are the objectives that Gori is working on in the Municipality of Ottaviano.
In fact, the works for the completion of the sewerage network, financed by the Campania region for 5.200.000 euros, and of which Gori is the implementing body within the framework of the Energie per il Sarno program. They include the construction of important infrastructures including 6,2 kilometers of new sewerage network, 4 sewage dischargers, 3 rainwater dischargers and confluence structures for the elimination of discharges into the environment and incomplete connections.
In recent days, the completion of the last bureaucratic steps with the signing of the delivery report by the Director of Works, Carlo Majorano, the Sole Responsible for the Procedure, Domenico Cesare, and the representative of the Temporary Grouping of Companies between DARF Srl – the agent company – and GEMIS Srl – the principal company. The interventions, once completed, will contribute to the strengthening of the sewerage and purification service and to the definitive overcoming of important hygiene-sanitary criticalities, determining an important step forward also for the decontamination of the Sarno river basin, which brings together Gori, Ente Idrico Campano and Regione Campania.
