Meret: 6. Really engaged only once, by Fofana, who from a long distance and from a tight angle tries to surprise him on the post without succeeding. Attentive on that occasion and when needed coming out, both when needed up to the three-quarter line, and diving on Union's dangerous crosses at the end of the match.
By Lorenzo: 6,5. Balanced performance, with few flaws.
Solid and confident in ball control and in forward runs, with his usual offensive propensity. He returns to his usual level after a few too many mistakes in the last few games, including the away match in Verona.
Rahmani: 6,5. It starts with some difficulty, suffering the speed of the German club's attackers.
Booked after 17' for a foul on Becker, he doesn't lose his cool and despite a heavy yellow card he makes few mistakes and in the final stages he closes up well together with the rest of his teammates to bring home the result.
Nathan: 7. In a very short time he took the leadership of the defense and this match is perhaps the demonstration of his great talent. At the beginning he makes some mistakes, then grows and in the final he perfectly resists the desperate attacks of the Union, also coming out high with courage on several occasions.
Mario Rui: 6. He alternates the offensive and defensive phases in the right measure, often being involved in the attacking maneuver, with 102 touches and 92% of successful passes.
Many of which, however, were ineffective for the purposes of attacking actions that did not find particular luck with the opponents' spaces all closed (from 71' Olivera: sv).
Cajuste: 5. Tarnished compared to the away match in Verona, where he had shone. Often and willingly in trouble in 45 minutes, he never found his precise place in the tactical scheme.
Just 11 completed passes, none of which were significant, and 7 balls lost in total (from 46' Elmas: 5,5).
Lobotka: 5,5. Bad game. Union Berlin also put a real cage on him, insisting on high pressing when he carries the ball.
As in Verona, in some circumstances he gets into trouble and ends with numbers that are decidedly not his: 12 balls lost, a lower percentage of passes than usual and also many fewer balls touched.
Zielinski: 6. All-out competition in the tiring first half of the Napoli, in which he often has to sacrifice himself in areas that aren't his. This is also why he ends up losing several balls, 12 in total.
In the second half, there were a few more ideas in terms of attacking propensity, but the Azzurri produced little.
