Like the murderer who always returns to the scene of the crime, robbers also return, but in this case to take the money from a robbery that they had hidden after the robbery.
It happened in Portici, where police handcuffed the three perpetrators of yesterday morning's daring post office robbery, which netted them 62 euros.
Yesterday morning, the agents of the PG and the patrol car of the Portici-Ercolano Police Station intervened in via Diaz following the report of a robbery in progress at the Portici Bellavista Post Office.
On the way to the target, it was reported that the car in which the robbers had arrived could be white and one of them was wearing a green sweatshirt.
The patrol officers, who had arrived near the Post Office, had seen a white Fiat 500X with foreign license plates exiting from the adjacent alleyway. The driver, having noticed the presence of the police officers, had attempted to run them over, fleeing along Via Diaz towards Piazza Poli.
At that moment, the PG patrol had positioned itself with the service car in front of the fleeing Fiat 500X but the driver, with a risky manoeuvre, had managed to get back into the carriageway, eluding the stop and continuing his mad dash towards the upper part of Porches.

Therefore, both patrols had chased the fugitives and found that they had taken Via Gioacchino Cardano in the wrong direction.
In order to meet them again, the patrol in civilian clothes had reached the other side of the street and found that the robbers' car had been involved in a road accident and the occupants had abandoned the vehicle which was not running.
Subsequently, the operators carried out thorough searches for the three fugitives, both in the residential apartment buildings in the area and in adjacent public garages and also thanks to the viewing of images from the video surveillance systems present in the area they managed to trace all the streets and places of escape, identifying the place where the entire sum of money, stolen from the Post Office, was hidden, for a total of just over 62 thousand euros.
Furthermore, the careful inspection carried out inside the abandoned car allowed us to find useful elements for the investigation.
Again, the police, through the viewing of images acquired from commercial establishments and garages, were able to identify those responsible and, assuming that they could return to the place where the money was hidden, they set up a suitable stakeout service which allowed, that same evening, the capture of the three suspects, already burdened by specific criminal records.
The intense investigations carried out without interruption have allowed us to acquire serious evidence of guilt against those arrested, adopting the restrictive measure of arrest for suspicion of crime.
