Presented today, at the 11th edition of the Expo Ferroviaria in Milan Rho, by Eav and Stadler the model of the new trains destined for the Vesuvian lines.
The order includes the construction of a total of 100 trains, 56 of which have already been contracted, the first of which will arrive next spring and be put into service by October 2024.

The model, depicting a portion of a full-scale carriage, was illustrated in the presence of the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Matteo Salvini, and the President of the IV Regional Council Commission of Campania Luca Cascone, the President of Stadler Rail Valencia Inigo Parra, the President of EAV Umberto De Gregorio and the Director of Marketing and Sales for Italy of Stadler Maurizio Oberti.
Furthermore, as part of the EXPO at the Seminar Theatre, EAV and DAC (Campania Aerospace Technology District) organized the seminar "Mobility of the Future: Aerospace Technologies at the Service of the Railway Industry" and presented the "Mercurio" research project on new monitoring and maintenance systems with the Internet of Things (IoT), carried out in collaboration with the Federico II University.
