Thursday, October 5, at 18.00:1 p.m., the Gran Caffè Gambrinus, in via Chiaia 2/XNUMX, hosts the presentation of the book “T'amo mio scoglio. Album Procidano” written by Giuseppina De Rienzo and published by Rogiosi Editore.

Together with the author, there will be journalist and essayist Generoso Picone, professor of experimental pedagogy at the Suor Orsola Benincasa University Nadia Carlomagno and the artist, professor of visual creativity at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples and at the Libero De Cunzo art high schools. Giuseppina De Rienzo's editorial work is a collection of articles that tell the story of Procida in the year in which it is the Italian Capital of Culture.

The island, an archetype of imaginary space, represents the unknown, the strange, the different, and also its opposite: purity, beauty, freedom.

Romolo Runcini, a literary sociologist, is firmly convinced that Procida is the place that best embodies the concept of the fantastic: a figure torn between appearance and essence, capable of ritualizing situations and events to bring them back to the codes of ancient wisdom. A similar faith accompanied Giuseppina De Rienzo on a passionate journey through that strip of land, immersing herself and losing herself in its stories.

THE AUTHOR

Selected for the Strega Prize with two of her novels “Passo d'ombre” (Avagliano) and “Vico del fico al Purgatorio” (Manni), Giuseppina Di Rienzo, from Naples, graduated in English Language and Literature at the University of Naples L'Orientale, has published short stories, articles and essays for collections, newspapers and periodicals.
