On October 6th, at 12:18 p.m., in the Sala Cristallo of the Royal Palace of Naples, as part of the Campania Libri Festival, the book "We All Love Ennio Morricone" will be presented. It is published by Lab DFG and features Luigi Caiola, along with journalist and writer Federico Vergari, recounting their XNUMX years as the Maestro's manager. Journalist and writer Paquito Catanzaro will moderate the event, and singer-songwriter Giovanni Block will also participate.
The title of the book is also the title of the tribute CD We all love Ennio Morricone, in which some of his best-known songs are performed by world-famous artists such as Quincy Jones, Céline Dion, Bruce Springsteen, Roger Waters, Metallica, Herbie Hancock, Andrea Bocelli, Renée Fleming, Yo-Yo Ma and others.
A book of facts, anecdotes, in which the manager Luigi Caiola, in contact with the musical genius, narrates the stages of the journey, which since 1997 lead Morricone to appear to the general public, becoming a popular icon, a star. The most significant of the 250 concerts, the making of the CD, the Oscar for lifetime achievement won at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles are reviewed.
Luigi Caiola tells from an unusual point of view, the character, the mood, the personality of Morricone, whose figure is sublimated by the concerts of which he is the absolute soul and body together with the orchestras, which he meets in every part of the world.
The book will soon be a musical show, the result of a promise made by the author to a friend who passed away prematurely, the "visionary" Franco Dragone, and a documentary film that will recount its gestation and production.
Referring to his long and fruitful collaboration with the Maestro, Luigi Caiola defines himself as "a little mouse"; but it will be precisely that little mouse, a provincial producer, who will manage to "flush out" the genius and take him around the world, as he had never done before, to conduct his music in the most prestigious theatres, finding a second youth.
