At 16 he's already worth a billion. It's the story of lamina yamal, the new phenomenon that emerged from the youth teams of Barcelona, a traditional breeding ground for champions. At the age of 15 years, 9 months and 16 days Yamal made his debut in the Liga with the Barcelona, becoming the youngest debutant in the Blaugrana first team.
Then, at 16 years and 57 days old, he also made his 'first appearance' for the Spanish senior national team, in the match Roja won 7-1 away to Georgia: Yamal scored his team's seventh goal and thus became, on September 8th, both the youngest debutant and the youngest goalscorer in the history of the Spanish national team.

Now the boy's contract renewal has arrived, signed today in the presence of president Joan Laporta, vice-president Rafa Yuste and sporting director Deco, and it is newsworthy that the agreement that binds him to Barcelona until June 2026 there is a termination clause which is, in fact, one billion euros.
It should also be noted that given the player's age, a minor, the contract could not exceed three years; otherwise, Barça would have offered Yamal and his agent Jorge Mendes a longer term. The matter will be discussed again when Yamal, born in July 2007, reaches adulthood.
