The second event of the YOUNG theatre season for families and schools at Casa del Contemporaneo/Le Nuvole – Saturday 18 November at 17 pm – brings us the story of a distant time, so distant that it is hidden in the dark recesses of memories.
And yet, on stage, someone appears who has retained the memory of the entire history of BIANCA COME LA NEVE, a show by the CREST theatre company of Taranto with Luigi Tagliente and the voices of Catia Caramia and Maria Pascale, for everyone from 6 years old.
Michelangelo Campanale, an award-winning author from Puglia, also signs the direction of this show in addition to the design of the scenes and lights because, in particular in BIANCA COME LA NEVE, the dramaturgy develops starting from the objects that parade in front of the audience on a little train, as true protagonists alongside the actor-narrator.
“There are no clear boundaries between genres and even less between 'possible audiences' – Campanale states in a note – An innate curiosity and the continuous and meticulous search for small details describe how I approach certain stories that come from far away, from a distant time, from a distant place. And you have to take care to tell these stories and shed light on memories, as in the dark tunnels of mines”.
And so it is that the last dwarf, who knew her, who lived her, is entrusted with the task of telling the story of Snow White. A little girl that the Queen Mother had always imagined with skin as white as the snow she saw falling softly, with hair as black as the ebony of her window and with lips as red as the drops of blood that flowed from her finger when she pricked herself with a needle. And this little girl was born for real and was called Maria Sophia Margaretha Catharina von Erthal. And one day her mother, yes, her mother, Queen Claudia Elisabeth Von Reichenstein wished her dead.
“This story is made of objects that each tell a story” – concludes Campanale – “And you wish: we will discover the story of a little girl who just needed a warm place and something to eat and of other children who discovered how beautiful it was to be looked at, with eyes like a mother's."
Before the Christmas appointment, on December 15 and 16, with “I 3 PINI di NATALE” (for everyone from 3 years old) a poetic story about respect and love for nature with Roberto Pagura of Molino Rosenkranz (Pordenone), space for teenagers with RACCONTO PERSONALE (12+) by and with Mamadou Diakité, of Bottega degli Apocryfi (FG), proposed exclusively for secondary schools of I and II degree on the morning of Tuesday 5 December (9 am). The show brings to the stage the autobiographical experience of this young man from the Ivory Coast who left to build the dream of a different life. The experience of theatrical fruition is included in the broader project POST percorsi di/per l'orientamento tra scuola e teatro, conceived and created in collaboration with Agita, to support and develop emotional learning beyond cognitive skills.
