Naples. An 81-year-old man was found dead in his home in Fuorigrotta.
On his body he had wounds probably inflicted with a knife, in particular on his neck and face.
A neighbor found 75-year-old Mario Palma lying face down in a pool of blood. The police determined that he had been stabbed multiple times in the face and neck.
The woman saw bloodstains on the door of the house and tried to call the old man, but she got no answer. Worried, she called the victim's brother, who alerted the police.
The military intervened shortly after 16:XNUMX PM today and found the man already dead. In the first moments no hypothesis was ruled out, but the presence of blood immediately made one think of a violent death.

The certainty that it was a homicide came with the authorization of the medical examiner to move the body. The man was stabbed several times in the face and neck, a sign of a violent attack.
The Carabinieri are now investigating to reconstruct the dynamics of the murder and to identify the killer. The victim had no criminal record and lived alone. It could have been a robbery gone wrong, but it is not excluded that there were other motivations behind the crime.
