Naples, a baby gang with their faces covered enters a restaurant in the center and steals the Christmas tree. At about 22.30:XNUMX p.m. on Friday, two boys with their faces covered broke into the Green M'ama restaurant in via San Giacomo, stealing the Christmas tree that had just been set up for the holidays. All this to the dismay of the customers still present and the owners. The protagonists of the theft then disappeared together with a group of accomplices who were waiting for them outside. The images recorded by the closed-circuit cameras were sent to the deputy of Alleanza Verdi Sinistra Francesco Emilio Borrelli.
"The theft of Christmas trees from shops and city streets is a criminal tradition that regularly recurs during the Christmas holidays," Borrelli emphasized. "Groups of baby criminals who rampage through the streets of the city center, raiding and then escaping through the alleys of the Spanish Quarters. The goal is almost always to stack the trees to give life to another criminal custom, that of lighting the bonfires of Sant'Antuono, if not to commit acts of vandalism as an end in themselves. To combat this trend, we need to deploy a significant presence of law enforcement to prevent robberies and new episodes of vandalism and to protect an area tormented by baby gangs, such as Piazza Municipio and its surroundings, just a few steps from Palazzo San Giacomo, the seat of the municipality."
"This isn't the first time something like this has happened," the owners say. "We opened in June 2023 and have already seen several incidents of vandalism. First, the broken sign, then the throwing of eggs at our customers inside and outside the shop during Halloween. This is enormous damage to our reputation. We are four young people who have invested everything in this business, and we find it all disheartening. We're truly tired of receiving this gratuitous nastiness and feel abandoned."
