'Heist' worth several tens of thousands of euros in a jewelry store Battipaglia, in the Salerno area. The thieves arrived on board a powerful car and, after a lightning-fast action, fled, taking away gold and valuables.
The theft was committed during the night between Saturday and Sunday in a commercial activity on Via Mazzini, one of the main shopping streets of the city at the gates of the Sele plain. The loot is still being quantified, but it should be around 100 thousand euros, including jewelry and watches.
The Carabinieri intervened on the spot, alerted by residents of the area. The investigators are also examining the images from the video surveillance cameras in the area to identify the vehicle used to carry out the theft.
