A 16-year-old girl, Carol Bugin, has been missing since Thursday, November 16
She had been last seen near the Mestre station, according to her mother.
The family reported the disappearance to the Carabinieri and launched an appeal through social media, providing a cell phone number for any information. Elena Cecchettin, Giulia's sister, shared the appeal, quickly turning the post into a viral message. Elena wrote a touching message: "Please, not again."
The girl had left a facility in Conegliano
Carol Bugin, 1 meters tall, with brown hair, green eyes and many freckles on her nose, had left a facility in Conegliano where she was staying at the time on Wednesday afternoon. She was supposed to reach a friend in Spinea and then a friend of hers, her mother specifying that it was not her boyfriend, also in Spinea.
After the alarm on Wednesday, Carol had contacted her mother on Thursday morning from her friend's phone, informing her that she was in Mestre, in the station area. Afterwards, the friend had lost sight of Carol.
Although the mother had arrived in the area and spotted her daughter inside a bar for a short time, by the time she was able to stop the car and go back, Carol had disappeared.
Since then, the young woman, who is said to be without money, telephone and documents, has not given any news of herself. Elena Cecchettin's appeal for Carol Bugin was also shared by the president of Veneto, Luca Zaia, through a post on his official Facebook profile.
