Yet another femicide in Italy. In the days of national indignation for the murdered women, a 70-year-old man strangled and killed his wife, also 70, in via Montefeltro, in the Poderino neighborhood of Fano.
The man, according to 'Correre Adriatico', then attempted to take his own life by ingesting barbeturates. The crime, which occurred yesterday evening around 21:XNUMX p.m., was discovered by one of the couple's children who was waiting for his parents for dinner.
Not seeing them arrive, he went to look for them, discovered the tragedy and raised the alarm by calling 112. The man is under arrest, accused of voluntary homicide, and is currently hospitalized.
From what has been learned, the woman, Rita Talamelli, 66 years old, had been ill for some time: it was one of her sons who discovered the femicide: when he entered his parents' house he found them in the bedroom, she stretched out and lifeless and him, Angelo Sfuggiti, 70 years old, not far away, gasping for breath due to the effect of a dose of barbiturates he had ingested.
The woman was strangled with her bare hands by her husband
He was admitted to the hospital in Fano and is not in danger of life. According to an initial examination of the body, the woman was strangled with bare hands in the late afternoon yesterday.
