“I tried to kill myself several times but I couldn't”These are the words said by Filippo Turetta to the German policemen as he got out of the car with his hands up and shouting “I killed my girlfriend.”
These are further details that have emerged from the German media two days after the arrest of the young murderer of Giulia CecchettinThe young man also said he tried to crash his car into a low wall and repeatedly held the knife to his throat to commit suicide.
A kitchen knife with a twelve-centimetre blade, probably the murder weapon, a pair of gloves and a mobile phone, were found by German police in the bag of Filippo Turetta, inside the black Punto stopped along the motorway near Leipzig.
Traces of blood were also found in the car, also on the shoes and clothes of the 22-year-old. Finally, about 300 euros in cash were found; further investigations are underway into the possible purchase of a foreign SIM card to be able to use the cell phone without being tracked. Giulia's cell phone has not yet been found.

It is incomprehensible how a person can come to attempt suicide several times, something was wrong in his mind.
I wonder what drove this boy to do such a terrible thing, it's truly tragic.
It's a really sad story, I can't understand how someone could do something like this.
I hope all the details of this case are clarified, it is really disturbing.
I hope that justice will be done and that Giulia's family can find some peace.
