Giulia's father: "True love doesn't kill"

“My love, I miss you so much already, hug your mommy and give her a kiss from me.”

This is the message posted this morning by Gino Cecchettin on Facebook accompanied by a photo in which the daughter Giulia smiles.

A few hours earlier he had written: “True love does not humiliate, does not disappoint, does not trample, does not betray and does not hurt the heart. True love does not scream, does not hit, does not kill”.

Giulia's body was found yesterday in the lake area Barcis, in the province of Pordenone after a week in which there was no news of the young woman. Her ex-boyfriend is wanted for the murder, Filippo Turetta. Today at vigonovo, in the province of Venice, a torchlight procession is planned for 19pm in memory of the murdered 22-year-old.

Giulia's father: "The pain is excruciating but we have to start again"

 “The pain is so much, unimaginable, excruciating. A part of me that goes away. He was only 22 years old… a life ahead of him broken, without a logical reason. I can understand an illness, an accident, but this is the most inconceivable way. You can’t understand it.

But I have to be strong, for the other guys, Elena and Davide. They have to, we have to start again. They were three very close brothers”. Gino Cecchettin, Giulia's father, said this in an interview with La Repubblica.

“I went there, to the place where she was found,” he said. “But the doctors were still there for the examinations and I didn’t see her.” Then Cecchettin turned his thoughts to the parents of Filippo Turetta, accused of killing his daughter: “I thank the parents, they too are experiencing a tragedy and so I am close to them too.

Of course, I was thinking about Giulia, I wanted her to come back. For me it ended here”. Giulia's sister, “Elena, she will make it the battle of her life – concludes Cecchettin -. But I also want to do something, it's right this way. For Giulia and for all the others who may find themselves in her situation”.
