Giulia Cecchettin paid for Filippo Turetta's dinner on the evening of November 11 when the two boys ate at Mc Donald's inside the 'Nave de Vero' shopping center in Marghera. A meal costing 17,80 euros.
Filippo and Giulia remained in the fast food restaurant until at least 22pm, as evidenced by the fact that Giulia's cell phone service connected to a repeater in Marghera during those minutes.
A video from surveillance cameras shown by Tg1 shows the car driven by Filippo Turetta crossing the Dolomites in Upper Veneto after having disposed of Giulia Cecchettin's body.
It is 7:22 on Sunday, November 12. The streets appear almost deserted in what is one of the last sightings of the boy in Italy before continuing his escape to Germany where he will be arrested and is waiting to be handed over to the Italian authorities.
Scotch tape on Giulia's mouth to stop her from screaming
Filippo Turetta used scotch tape to keep his ex-girlfriend from screaming. This is what we read in the custody order of the investigating judge of Venice, Benedetta Vitolo, which ordered the prison sentence for the young man accused of the murder of Giulia Cecchettin.
The adhesive tape, seized by the Carabinieri near the trace of blood found in the industrial area of Fossò, was "applied" - as stated in the order - "probably to prevent her from screaming".
Giulia Cecchettin was killed by “inflicting multiple blows from a bladed weapon”, then “throwing her to the ground”, then “loading her into a car” and finally “abandoning her in an isolated place”. The sequence of events was reconstructed by the investigating judge of Venice, in the precautionary custody order, for the crime of voluntary homicide.
The aggravating circumstance is underlined by the judge because the crime is committed "against a person linked to the guilty party by an emotional relationship", even if it has ended. Finally, the crime of kidnapping is contested considering that Giulia was held in the black Punto "against her will for an appreciable period of time".
