"We have received from the Municipalities of Naples the report on the streets where they intend to install the Christmas lights. Now we begin the subdivision of the ceiling established for the preparation of the Christmas evening atmosphere and the Municipalities are making the assignments to move on to the installation of the lights". The mayor of said this Napoli Gaetano Manfredi.
The mayor spoke on the sidelines of a forum organised by Tim at the Municipality of Napoli. The administration, we learn, has established an investment of one million two hundred thousand euros, of which 800.000 go to the Metropolitan City, 300.000 for major Christmas events.
In addition to this, there are 100.000 euros that are managed by the tourism department of the Municipality and another 300.000 thousand euros for videomapping, which involves the projection of Christmas scenes on large historic buildings in Naples. The mayor also confirmed that there may be investments by private individuals intending to decorate their streets: “In the places - explains - where we cannot manage to install street lights on some roads with public resources, we will open ourselves up to private contributions”.
