The Mayor of Naples, Gaetano Manfredi, inspected the site of the Ancient Theater of Neapolis, located between Via Anticaglia and Via San Paolo ai Tribunali.
The inspection was carried out in order to monitor the progress of the works relating to the monumental redevelopment project, conducted by the Municipality of Naples and under the High Supervision of the Superintendency of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape.
The aim of the inspection was to evaluate the progress of the works and the evolution of the urban archaeological site, which represents one of the most significant examples of urban archaeology in Naples.
The work is expected to be completed by the end of 2024, at the end of which the Mayor intends to evaluate the possibility of opening the theater to scheduled visits, thus allowing citizens and tourists to appreciate this extraordinary cultural resource.
