Mariglianella, car crashes in front of bar. Two women miraculously survive

Serious accident near Naples: car crashes in front of bar. Two women miraculously survive. Borrelli: "You can't rely on luck. More safety devices and changes to the Highway Code."

It could have been a tragedy. A terrible accident occurred in Mariglianella, in the province of Naples two days ago. A black Opel, while driving on via Guglielmo Marconi, crashed into a white Chevrolet Sparks parked along the road in front of the Genius bar. The entire scene was filmed by the business's surveillance cameras. The car, following the collision, overturned in the middle of the road while the parked car was violently pushed against the sign behind it, destroying it completely.

At the time of the accident, there were two women on the sidewalk who miraculously remained unharmed. The impact was very violent. Fortunately, it seems that the driver of the Opel was not seriously injured. On the scene, in addition to the emergency services of 118, the Carabinieri arrived and started the investigation of the case.

“We ask that the dynamics of the accident be clarified as soon as possible,” declared Francesco Emilio Borrelli, MP for the Green-Left alliance. “This time a true miracle occurred, but other times it hasn't been like this, and it won't always be like this. We need more safety devices and changes to the highway code to stop the carnage and the high-speed thugs.”
