“This morning I presented a question on the Collana Stadium, we cannot lose attention on such an important common good – declares regional councilor Maria Muscarà –. During the month of July 2023, the Council of State decreed the definitive forfeiture of Giano srl from the management of the facility, which now claims to return the keys only after having sold the equipment to the Region and not at 40% of the value, which is already a gift as established by Coni, but at 70%, which is absurd!
All this after having had the stadium for “free” for years, and having entrusted itself with 6 million euro of work. Is it a request for severance pay disguised as a sale? According to the statements of Councilor Marchiello (who instead speaks of the Governor) during a question time proposed by the undersigned, it was learned that the release of the facility should have occurred by November 12, even declaring that he would have had the police intervene to clear out Collana: this did not happen!
I therefore asked to receive a detailed list of the existing equipment, that purchased for the Universiade by ARUS, the invoices relating to the equipment purchased by Giano srl and the evaluation criteria for the same. Finally, I asked to exclude from said list the turnstiles for access to the facility, as they are not relevant to public use of the same and to provide for their removal” – concludes Councilor Muscarà.
