Meeting with the prosecutor of NAPLES Nicola Gratteri, this morning, for Antonio and Concetta Maimone, the parents of Francesco Pio Maimone, the pizza chef was an innocent victim, on the night between March 19 and 20 on the NAPLES seafront, of a clash between a group of young people linked to organised crime from two different neighbourhoods of the capital.
At the height of a fight that started for trivial reasons, a stamp on the shoes, one of the young people involved in the brawl, Francesco Pio Valda, pulled a gun from his belt to fire several shots wildly. One of these shots hit the 18-year-old in the chest, leaving him no escape: Francesco Pio died in the arms of his friends without even knowing what had happened to him.
"We were very touched by the gesture of the prosecutor Gratteri - says Antonio Maimone, father of Francesco Pio - he wanted to meet us and assured us that we will have justice. We invited him for next December 13, at the Troisi theater for the 'Notte del Cuore', the event sponsored by the Municipality of NAPLES dedicated to our son". "The head of the Neapolitan prosecutor's office has reserved us a gesture of great humanity", adds the lawyer Sergio Pisani, who defends the Maimone family
