The hunt is on for the attacker who stabbed a 23-year-old in the chest in the parking lot of a nightclub in Pozzuoli.
The attack occurred last night at the height of a trivial argument that began inside the club.
The victim, a resident of Giugliano in Campania, was spending the evening with some friends in a nightclub in Pozzuoli when, for reasons yet to be clarified, an argument broke out with another customer of the club.
The argument escalated and the attacker, who was thought to be around 25 years old, pulled out a diving knife and stabbed the 23-year-old in the chest.
The victim was transported by ambulance to the emergency room of the hospital in Pozzuoli, where doctors diagnosed her with three fractured ribs and a punctured lung.
The young man underwent emergency surgery and is now in stable condition. The prognosis is reserved for at least 72 hours, but the 23-year-old is no longer in danger of life.

State Police officers intervened on the scene and began an investigation to identify and arrest the attacker. The police officers are interviewing the victim's friends and reviewing the images from the premises' video surveillance cameras, which captured the entire attack.
