Branches obstructing overhead power line removed: service returns to normal CircumvesuvianaThe Autonomous Volturno Authority communicated this through an official note which stated that “Since 9 am, traffic has been regularly restored on all lines.”
The same Autonomous Volturno Body had communicated in the morning and “due to a technical fault caused by branches falling on the overhead line, traffic is interrupted between the Torre del Greco and Pioppaino stations”. Once the obstacle removal work was completed, traffic was put back into service.
Obviously in the meantime a whole series of delays have accumulated, so much so that the 8 train from Napoli it left Torre del Greco with a 50 minute delay and the one at 8:50 departing from Sorrento left Pioppaino with a 30 minute delay.
