Over 35 thousand unsafe products put on sale for the Halloween holiday have been seized by the Guardia di Finanza of the Provincial Command of Salerno. In a first operation, the Guardia di Finanza of the Nocera Inferiore Company found and seized, in a commercial establishment in Angri, almost 10 thousand articles, mostly toys, lacking the necessary certifications, indications and warnings for use, required by the legislation on consumer protection.
In a second case, the financial police of the Agropoli Company, in the context of two separate operations, seized a total of over 5 thousand products including masks, confetti, gadgets and disguises, ready to be put on sale, again because they lacked security information.
In a final activity, however, it was the soldiers of the Compagnia di Vallo della Lucania who identified a large warehouse set up mostly with themed merchandise, over 20 thousand accessories, which, upon closer inspection, also turned out not to comply with the dictates of the Consumer Code. The seized products, over 35 thousand, were thus removed from the market and the owners of the commercial establishments were reported to the Chamber of Commerce for the administrative sanctions provided for, which can range from a minimum of 250 to a maximum of 25 thousand euros.
