As the Christmas holidays approach, the Finance Police of the Provincial Command of Naples have intensified checks in the streets of the city center aimed at combating the sale of counterfeit products and commercial abuse.
In particular, the “Baschi Verdi”, at the end of an independent info-investigative activity, which began with the observation of individuals dedicated to the sale of goods on the streets most crowded with tourists, such as via Toledo, via dei Tribunali and Quartieri Spagnoli, traced a warehouse in the Industrial Zone of Naples, where they seized over 37.000 counterfeit items.
The thousands of products, placed inside finely crafted packages, consisted mostly of scarves, bags, wallets, belts and document holders from well-known fashion brands, such as Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Chanel, Gucci, Fendi and Salvatore Ferragamo.
The seized goods, once sold, would have generated an illicit profit of approximately 1.500.000 euros.
The manager of the warehouse, a Chinese citizen with a criminal record, was reported at large to the Judicial Authority.
