The “high impact” services of the State Police, the Carabinieri and the Guardia di Finanza continue, the area involved today is that of the Municipality of Torre Annunziata where, since the early hours of the morning, approximately 300 operators of the various police forces have carried out dozens of searches.
The operation allowed to identify 135 people, some of whom were reported. During the service two pistols were seized, one of which was a Beretta FS 92 and a modified replica pistol with silencer, 53 cartridges, of which 26 were blanks, various quantities of narcotic substances such as marijuana and hashish.
And then various quantities of TLE and also to fine two people for possession of narcotic substances for personal use and others with respect to the provisions of the Highway Code; again, it was ascertained that the meter of an apartment had been tampered with and illegally connected to the public network and several commercial establishments in the area were checked, 115 vehicles, of which 5 were administratively seized, and two driving licenses were withdrawn.
Over 300 law enforcement officers combed the city
The joint activity saw the participation of the personnel of the Naples Flying Squad, the Police Stations of Castellamare di Stabia, Pompei, Torre del Greco and Torre Annunziata, of the Scientific Police, of the Mobile Unit, of the UOPI, of the Canine Units, of the Campania Crime Prevention Unit of the State Police, of the Highway Police, the Carabinieri companies of the Torre Annunziata Group, the Carabinieri of the Torre Annunziata investigative unit, the Canine Unit of Sarno and the Carabinieri of the Campania regiment.
And also the Guardia di Finanza with the ATPI component of the Pronto Impiego Group Napoli and the canine units, the Torre Annunziata Group, the Giugliano in Campania Group, the 1st Metropolitan Operational Unit of Naples as well as the Capodichino Company.
The activity in question saw the participation of personnel from the Fire Brigade and the Metropolitan Police.
The operations were controlled from above by helicopters from the State Police Flight Department and the Air Section of the Guardia di Finanza.
