The event "A Christmas Carol”, ad ingresso libero, si terrà il 22 dicembre alle ore 19 nella storica chiesa di Castellammare di Stabia.
Una serata dedicata alla musica e all’arte nello storico scenario della church of Jesus e Maria a Castellammare di Stabia. Si terrà venerdì 22 dicembre, alle ore 19, il concerto “A Christmas Carol” del San Marco Polyphonic Choir, diretto dal maestro Andrea Massa, che farà vivere la magia del Natale, regalando emozioni uniche in uno degli spazi sacri più suggestivo della città.
It is the free entry event promoted by the Lions Club Gragnano Valle dei Mulini and Castellammare di Stabia host: it will be a high-level cultural event, which will allow you to listen to music among the beauties of the Church, witness to a history of almost four centuries, custodian of works of art of inestimable value.
The concert's repertoire will range from classic Christmas songs to compositions that evoke the profound meaning of the holiday, in an atmosphere of sharing and introspection, to conclude with a more lively section in “Gospel” style.
The Church of the Gesù represents the ideal context for a concert that also aims to be an invitation to discover the local artistic heritage, with its single nave dominated by the majestic vault frescoed by Galloppi and the high altar that houses the painting of the Blessed Virgin of Refuge attributed to Luca Giordano.
“The concert will allow us to shine a light not only on the holidays but also on our Church of the Gesù. It will be a journey through music and art to celebrate together the true spirit of Christmas”. Said Arturo D'Apuzzo, president of the Lions Club branch Gragnano Valle dei Mulini, adding: “The event will be an immersive experience that combines the warmth of Christmas melodies with the baroque elegance that permeates the church, in a harmonious dialogue between music and architecture. An experience to share with family and friends, in the name of tradition and the rediscovery of our cultural values”.
