Rome. Francesco, who died at 14 due to bullying, was only the first victim of a phenomenon that also took away Gabriele, bullied for his dark skin; Sergio, who died in class amid the laughter of his classmates, and dozens of other lives of young people broken, ruined, destroyed by bullying.
To combat the phenomenon and provide concrete help to the kids, the Teatro degli Eroi in Rome started
Anti-Bully Cover Project, promoted by the National Center Against Bullying – Bulli Stop, with the unconditional contribution of the international pharmaceutical group Recordati. From today every child can be a
mouthpiece anti-bullying, spreading the values and disclosing, if you wish, your testimony or your adhesion to the campaign by sharing stories and reels on your social profiles with

A day of discussion moderated by National Center Against Bullying – Bulli Stop which involved the students of the fifth classes of the Istituto Superiore Paritario GG Visconti in Rome. A debate also fueled by the stories of some peers, such as Leonardo and Giorgia, who relived their painful but also formative stories. Leo Gassmann and Michelangelo Vizzini, who have been alongside and involved in the activities of the National Center Against Bullying – Bulli Stop for years, were also involved in the project.
“Bullying is a very serious problem that affects more than a quarter of high school students and as many as 30% of middle school students, causing serious consequences for its victims, ranging from depression to self-harm, from fits of crying and anxiety to even considering suicide,” explains Professor Giovanna Pini, president of the National Center Against Bullying – Bulli Stop.
“The project aims to raise awareness and make young people understand that bullying is not the way to succeed. At the same time, we also want make our voice heard to the Institutions so that structured and stable public interventions are increasingly numerous and aimed at curbing the problem of bullying. A deep and heartfelt thanks goes to Recordati who strongly believed in this project and who, thanks to its unconditional contribution, made it possible”.
During the morning, the young people listened to the stories of former victims which led them to reflect on the characteristics of bullying and cyberbullying, giving them the courage to fight, all together, against bullying. The meeting underlined the mission of the National Center Against Bullying - Bulli Stop: to inform young people and teachers about the seriousness of bullying and cyberbullying, providing them with innovative keys to understanding the phenomenon.
At the end of the morning, the students received anti-bully covers for their smartphones, a metaphorical symbol of protection against cyberbullying. The covers delivered reported the project’s claims with the number that the National Center Against Bullying – Bulli Stop makes available free of charge to victims. The number will be available to all kids, whether they are victims of bullying or bullies, and their families. For more information on the project:
