Tragedy during the night at Amalfi. Shortly after 3 a.m., a woman fell from the third-floor balcony of her home in the historic center.
Unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done for the 43-year-old woman. The 118 operators, who intervened promptly, could only confirm her death. The victim died immediately after a fall of about 12 meters, ending up inside the courtyard of the condominium on Via Pietro Capuano.
The woman, who lived with her parents and was unmarried, suffered from personality disorders. The Amalfi Carabinieri, led by Captain Alessandro Bonsignore, intervened on the scene to carry out the appropriate surveys.
They then wrote a report for the magistrate on duty, who authorized the removal of the body shortly before 5 a.m. The body was transferred to the morgue of the “Ruggi d'Aragona” hospital in Salerno. The most plausible hypothesis seems to be that of an extreme gesture.
