The activity of the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza continues without interruption Avellino to combat commercial abuse and compliance with the requirements for the sale of products. As part of this activity, following targeted services, soldiers from the Economic-Financial Police Unit of the Irpinia capital proceeded to control a commercial establishment, located in the municipality of Mercogliano (AV), finding, on display to customers, n. 89.984 pieces of articles falling into the “toys” category.
The toys in question did not have the CE mark and information set, to protect the consumer, in violation of the provisions of the current legislation. The person responsible, a 56-year-old Chinese citizen, was reported to the competent authorities for the imposition of an administrative fine ranging from € 1.500,00 to € 10.000,00.
The activity carried out testifies to the continuous action exercised by the men of the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Avellino, under the orders of Colonel Salvatore Minale, intensified during the Christmas holidays, to combat the spread of products that do not comply with safety standards, necessary to guarantee effective consumer protection, as well as a competitive market where honest economic operators can benefit from fair conditions of competition.
