The Guardia di Finanza of Isernia intercepted and seized a large load of illegal firecrackers. The load, consisting of approximately 2,5 quintals of pyrotechnic devices containing approximately 33 kg of nec (net explosive content), was transported on a van normally used for the transport of dairy products.
The driver of the vehicle, a man resident in Pescara, was reported for the specific crimes. According to investigators, the load was headed to Pescara, the destination city of the driver. He had purchased the illegal fireworks in Naples
“The seizure is part of the broader context of economic control of the territory – declared the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Isernia – implemented to safeguard the legal economy, safety and health of citizens, also in synergy with the State Police and the Carabinieri, under the aegis of the Government Authority and the judicial one pentra, in the common intention of guaranteeing the maximum level of social security in the province”.
