Casavatore. “Only power games, political like Findus fish fingers”. Councilor Giovanni Del Prete distances himself from his opposition colleagues and denounces.

“Presumed and potential assessors of the former Marino administration frozen and thawed with the Findus ready to enter the majority truly represent the antithesis of politics”.

The debate that has been sparked between the various souls that make up both the government majority and the opposition as possible technical tests of future positioning in anticipation of the elections is currently taking centre stage, supported by the explosive statements made in yesterday evening's city council by Del Prete.

So much so that, according to opposition councilor Giovani Del Prete, elected on the "Casavatore nel Cuore" list, some sections of the majority and minority are now playing—to put it simply—a three-card monte.

Indeed, according to the councilor, well-known former administrators of the fallen Marino legislature, in strong opposition to the mayor Luigi Maglione at the time of the events, would have "given in" and then backtracked after the procrastination discovery, to the advances of a majority party.

Del Prete, during the phases of the city council, also highlighted the "strange" behavior of some councilors of the majority and opposition who from time to time deserted the council sessions almost united by a political path and unitary thought aimed perhaps at balancing the forces in the field but also at an intestinal tug of war.

Even more significant is the fact that former mayor Vito Marino (a respected professional) is losing ground with councilors who now claim to be solely at the service of the city, not part of a group, and who want to vote on measures deemed beneficial to the community and proposed by Mayor Luigi Maglione. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Claudio Caturano, speaking directly from Kenya on a video call—where he is on a business trip—is calming the situation.

We must work to keep the majority together, thinking about the future and overcoming any legitimate political ambitions. Let's build together the future "home" where ideas and projects can flow together for the well-being of citizens", concluded Caturano.
