In a video posted on Instagram, Ferragni announced that she will donate the same amount at the Regina Margherita children's hospital in Turin to support the care of the children.
“I want to apologize and give substance to this gesture of mine”, Ferragni said in tears. “I have always believed that those who are more fortunate have a moral responsibility to do good.”
The entrepreneur explained that she had made a communication error by linking the advertisement of a commercial product to a solidarity activity. “A mistake I will learn from in the future”, said Ferragni.
Ferragni also announced that she will challenge the Agcom decision, deeming it disproportionate and unfair. “But if the final sanction were to be lower than that decided by the AGCM”, said Ferragni, “the difference will be added to the million euros”.
“If the Agcom fine is lower I will donate the difference to the hospital”
Ferragni concluded her video by saying that she will speak with the Regina Margherita hospital to understand how the sum she donated will be used. “I want to make sure that something constructive and positive comes out of this mistake”, said Ferragni.
