Open-stage applause in Casamicciola Terme for the concert held by Maestro Enzo Avitabile who, accompanied by Bottari and Black Tarantella, offered an extraordinary musical show to the thousands of people who enthusiastically crowded Piazza Marina.
Avitabile, an internationally renowned Italian musician who has sung and played with artists such as James Brown, Tina Turner, Afrika Bambaataa and David Crosby, and shared the stage and recorded songs with Mori Kante, Goran Bregovic, Cesaria Evora, Trilok Gurtu and Richie Havens, has won two Tenco awards, two David di Donatello awards, two Nastri d'argento awards, a Globo d'oro and a Ciak d'oro.
And to which is added, in 2017, the prestigious Ubu Award for the soundtrack of Pippo Delbono's Gospel and he is notoriously an artist who has been able to go beyond linguistic, stylistic and geographical boundaries and starting from Naples he has arrived at his very personal formula of world music with which he has been able to gain notoriety but above all an artistic credibility that still make him one of the most esteemed and respected Italian artists on an international level.
And in Casamicciola, with the simplicity that befits the greats, he managed to involve the audience in each of his songs.
Enzo Avitabile, who unites the people of the world with his music, calling for peace and brotherhood, sang the most famous pieces of his repertoire. Impressive was the musical power expressed by the Bottari, who, with their violent and at the same time melodic blows to the barrels, made the hearts of those present vibrate with joy and emotion.
On stage, the mayor of Casamicciola thanked the award-winning Maestro for the message of optimism launched. For Maestro Enzo Avitabile who hopes that 2024 can bring peace and brotherhood, it was an honor to perform in Casamicciola.
"For me – Avitabile stated – It is a great honor to be here tonight, to share this concert which is first of all a concert of hope, of aspiration, a concert for peace. A concert of great sharing. There is the sea, there is the will to grow, to regrow and Casamicciola sincerely honored me with this invitation. For 2024 let us always wish for peace and good music and that there is greater awareness regarding life. May there be a recovery of life in the world. And may there be a hymn to life that is born everywhere and in any case”.
