Since the beginning of December the Guardia di Finanza has intensified, throughout the national territory, the activity of contrasting the production, possession, transportation and illicit marketing of pyrotechnic devices and dangerous products.
To ensure the safety of citizens as the end-of-year holidays approach, 242 operations were conducted, resulting in the seizure of over 1 illegal fireworks, for a total weight of 700 tons. 40 people were reported to the Judicial Authority, 149 of whom were arrested.
The service activities are part of the territorial control actions that the Guardia di Finanza ensures to contribute to maintaining public safety, to protect the health and safety of citizens.
