He had just stolen a scooter from the parking lot of the Ospedale del Mare but had not noticed the presence of the police. A chase ensued that ended with his capture.
It happened yesterday afternoon, when the officers of the San Giovanni-Barra Police Station, as part of the control services arranged, while passing through Viale delle Metamorfosi, near the Ospedale del Mare, Ponticelli they noticed a subject who had gotten on a parked scooter.
And shortly after, the driver of another vehicle began to push him with his foot and then moved away; the two, noticing the presence of the police, tried to escape.
A chase ensued during which the driver of the motorcycle that had just been stolen, after abandoning it on the ground, managed to disappear, while the other, seeing that he had been caught, accelerated, causing one of the operators to fall to the ground but, not far away, was then stopped.
An accomplice of the arrested young man managed to escape
The arrested person, identified as a 22 year old Napoli, with a criminal record, including specific ones, was arrested for theft, personal injury and resisting a public official.
