A Venezuelan businessman of Spanish origin, wanted by the government of Caracas, was arrested last night in a hotel in Naples.
The man, a 47-year-old, is the recipient of an international arrest warrant issued by theInterpol with a request for immediate extradition. He is accused of extortion.
The agents of the police reached him in a hotel in the centre of Naples. Montecalvario police station, who transferred him to a cell in the Poggioreale prison. Here he will await the scheduling of the extradition hearing, which will be held before the judges of the Court of Appeal of Naples.
The entrepreneur is defended by the lawyer Alexandro Maria Tirelli, director of the High School of Extraditions of the International Criminal Chamber.

We will do everything to prevent him from being handed over to the regime that persecutes him with accusations instrumental to the political repression of dissent against the Maduro regime”.
