The immediate investigations started by the Carabinieri of the Pietramelara Station, in Caserta, following the complaint filed by the manager of a local real estate company, made it possible, this morning, to identify the perpetrators of the thefts committed at a construction site in that town on 5 and 6 December.
Thanks to the footage extracted from the surveillance cameras and the information provided by people informed of the facts, the military of the Arma traced the identity of the two men, a 49-year-old and a 34-year-old who, on a business trip from the province of Naples, furtively entered the construction site in the afternoon and at night and, taking advantage of the absence of the workers, stole metal scaffolding, work tools and various materials for a value of over 15.000,00 euros.
The search for the stolen goods is currently ongoing, and in the circumstances they were loaded into the back of a van with which the criminals quickly drove away.
The two were reported at liberty. They will have to answer for aggravated theft in competition.
