La Market Square in Naples it has long been a place characterized by chaos, degradation and illegality.
In addition to the baby gangs, who constantly disturb residents with their wild scooters crossing the pedestrian area during the night hours, there are also those who practice illegal parking, transforming the entire area into a vast parking lot characterized by a total disregard for the rules.
“Numerous citizens have reported this problem to us. Despite the reports and requests for intervention, the police have so far remained impotent and inactive. We, however, ask for decisive action to free this area from illegality.
In particular, we urge the implementation of new and effective measures to decisively combat the phenomenon of illegal parking attendants, who, with their activities, often contribute to financing criminal gangs and arrogate to themselves the right to occupy public streets and squares" – declared Francesco Emilio Borrelli, deputy of the Green-Sinistra alliance.
