In via Ponti Rossi there is a public park, on paper, but in reality it is private since to access it you have to pass through a gate that is always closed.
This is what a citizen who contacted the Green-Left Alliance MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli and filed a complaint denounces.
“Help us reclaim our green park. With the installation of that gate they gave a slice of the Park to a private condominium. Help us, green spaces are already scarce in Napoli and losing a piece like this is very serious. "– the complainant said.
The gate in question is located at the main entrance, as explained in the complaint, thus preventing access to citizens, except those of the condominium, and disabled people. Furthermore, that road would be the only escape route in case of emergency. The other accesses to the park are also closed by gates. The III Municipality is said to be already taking action on the matter.
“What has been reported to us is very serious. A municipal park cannot become private from one day to the next. We have therefore asked if the appropriate checks are carried out and, if the reported anomalies are confirmed, the impediments to access to the park must be removed very quickly. We cannot accept that the city of Naples belongs to those who take it out with arrogance and oppression”, Borrelli declared.
