A 19-year-old boy from Santa Maria Capua Vetere was arrested by the Caserta Flying Squad for attempted murder.
The man is accused of having kicked, punched and hit with a chair a 16-year-old Albanian boy last December 24th in Piazza Adriano in Santa Maria Capua Vetere.
The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition, with a collapsed lung. She underwent delicate surgery and is still hospitalized with a reserved prognosis.
The arrest of the 19-year-old was validated by the investigating judge.
In addition to the arrest, the Caserta police commissioner also issued five urban bans against as many people who, in various capacities, are believed to have played a role in the attack.
The measures prohibit, for a period of 18 months and during the evening and night time slots, access to and parking in the immediate vicinity of public establishments and public entertainment venues in Santa Maria Capua Vetere.

The recipients of the DASPOs were also required to report to the police station in Santa Maria Capua Vetere, at certain times and days.
The Police Headquarters explained that the measures were adopted "to prevent the repetition of serious incidents and disturbances to public order and safety."
The attack in Piazza Adriano is a serious incident that has sparked outrage and concern in the community of Santa Maria Capua Vetere.
