Tomorrow, Saturday 9th December, will be a special day for the entire community of Sorrento.
The Croatian delegation, expected in the next few hours to renew the twinning between Sorrento and Dubrovnik, will bring with it a folklore group that will perform in the suggestive Tasso square tomorrow at 18:00.The group will present traditional Croatian Christmas songs, performed in the streets of the country during Christmas Eve. This moment will represent another step forward in the union of the two cities in terms of culture, music and art.
The President of the Sorrento City Council underlined the importance of this twinning, declaring: "For me, who has followed this twinning since the beginning, it is particularly pleasing to welcome the delegation. Sorrento is an international city, and we try to make it increasingly open through broad initiatives in the field of education, profession and culture, promoting the Sorrento brand through our dense network of international relations, which we will continue to develop and expand".
Saturday's event will also be an opportunity to enjoy traditional Croatian sweets and celebrate the holidays together, as well as commemorate almost a year of twinning between the two cities.
