Acerra. Serial robbers at just 15 and 16 years old. These are two brothers who were arrested by the police for armed robbery and resisting a public official.
The facts date back to the night of Monday 23 January, when the agents of the Afragola police station received several reports of robberies carried out by a group of people on board a high-powered car.
Officers intercepted the vehicle on Via Clanio in Caivano , but the robbers managed to flee at high speed, followed by a small car. The small car was later found overturned on Via Fratelli Rosselli in Caivano.
Shortly after, police officers from the Acerra, Frattamaggiore and Nola police stations intercepted the large-engined vehicle on Corso Italia in Acerra. The occupants, upon seeing the officers, performed a maneuver and ended up against a sidewalk, causing damage to the bodywork and mechanics. They then managed to escape, abandoning the vehicle and disappearing.
The two brothers, together with other accomplices, are said to have committed at least 4 other robberies
At that moment the officers noticed that one of the robbers was wearing a rifle slung over his shoulder. At the scene and in the abandoned car were found two blank guns, a screwdriver, a carpenter's hammer and various stolen material.
Subsequently, two people went to the police station to file a report regarding a robbery they had suffered shortly before on Via Campanella in Cardito . The victims reported that the robbers, armed with a gun, had smashed the windows of their car and physically assaulted one of them.
The investigation, conducted by officers from the Flying Squad and the Acerra police station, led to the identification and tracking of the two brothers on Via Fratelli Rosselli in Caivano. They are also believed to be responsible for four other robberies that occurred between Sunday evening and Monday night in Succivo, Acerra, and Caivano . The two men were arrested and taken to prison.
