The Municipality of Agerola, in collaboration with the Teatro San Carlo, is pleased to announce an exceptional cultural event that will close the Christmas holidays of the territory: the concert of the Massimo children's choir, in decentralization.

This extraordinary event will take place on January 7th at 18:XNUMX PM in the charming Parish of San Martino Vescovo in Piazza XXIV Maggio. The Teatro San Carlo recognizes the importance of such cultural initiatives, attributing to the choir a role in promoting artistic, cultural, and social values.

The Children's Choir, founded in 2004, will celebrate its twentieth anniversary with an evening dedicated to the Municipality of Agerola, promising an engaging program with music by Puccini, Caccini, Chilcott and famous Christmas songs. This unforgettable occasion invites everyone to join and celebrate together this wonderful musical evening.

The concert will be conducted by Stefania Rinaldi and accompanied on piano by Luigi Del Prete, ensuring a unique and engaging experience. The Agerola Living Nativity Scene, which began in 1985 within the parish community of the village of Campora, represents a blend of faith, devotion, ancient knowledge, and flavors.

Initially promoted by Monsignor Andrea Gallo and carried forward over the years with commitment by the parish priests Don Luigi Avitabile and Don Giuseppe Milo, this year it is led by Father Giuseppe Ragalmuto.

The Agerola Living Nativity Scene, located in the charming village of Campora, takes visitors on a journey through Agerola's vibrant history. With approximately 250 participants, the entire village comes to life around the Holy Family, conveying a powerful sense of popular faith. The historical context is set between the late 800th and early 900th centuries, and is represented in the streets of Campora with shepherds, animals, artisans, and farmers.

The event, beyond being an artistic and synodal manifestation, has a profound meaning, recounting the event that changed the course of history through the birth of Jesus. The natural landscape of the Penise River area and the reconstruction of an ancient monastery dedicated to Saint Teresa of Avila add an evocative touch.

The meticulously curated display, curated by the Insieme per la Parrocchia Association, engages young and old in the recreation of settings and scenes, enriching the nativity scene with new charm and inspiration each year. A unique opportunity to relive the magic of Christmas through the traditions and culture of the Agerola area.
